Taken during a 3 month road trip to 7 states. This was the end of month one.

Driving back from Seattle to California we encountered the raging effects of the Carr Fire of 2018. It was raining ash and completely smokey. We should not have been trying to get photos frankly. We should have been driving as far away as we could. It felt important to document this moment.
